Tomorrow I'm starting a new job. I'm pretty excited about it. It's been about eight months since I quit my other job and things were getting a little scary.
It will be interesting to see how my blogging will change. I don't plan to to cut down on my posts. I hope I don't have to.
I'm planning to take lunches to work with me, but not this first week. This week I plan to see how things work, what kind of facilities there are for fixing/heating food, etc.
The really good news is that there's a grocery store literally right across the street from my new office. So no excuses for not making it to the store, right?

Good luck with your new job!
Yay You!
Hurray for Deb!
Been sending good energy your way...will talk to you soon
Thanks, everyone. It sure feels good to be working again.
(Never thought I'd hear myself saying that.)
Hey Debi,
Yea!! Good Luck!! What will you be doing?
Jen
Jen, I'll be the purchasing agent, among other things, at Stainless Sales Corp., where they buy big coils of steel and cut them down for customers who don't have the facilities to cut them on site.
So far I'm enjoying it. And learning a lot!
debi, this new place your working at, can anyone (non-wholesale) get a piece of stainless steel cut to a certain size, if so this is crazy but guess what i need two pieces.
for an ice machine.
nicole
I don't think so, Nicole. We don't cut finished pieces--we cut coils down to manageable size for smaller tool & die factories who can't handle them as they come from the mill. We're talking big coils of steel weighing tons that we cut down to smaller coils of steel that still weigh tons.
If you know what kind of ice machine it is, you could maybe contact the manufacturer to find out where to get parts.
